What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant - Mgmt position at Woda Cooper?
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations for various project bank accounts.
- Prepare and reconcile gross potential rent for multiple properties.
- Review and approve accounts payable documentation submitted from projects through Yardi Voyager.
- Process account receivables for assigned projects.
- Review and approve new vendors requested by staff.
- Compile and send quarterly reports related to property operations and financial information to investors and lenders.
- Assist in the coordination of the annual budgets.
- Compile annual audit workpaper packet and work with auditors to address questions or open items that arise from their review.
- Participate in monthly portfolio review meeting for portfolio of properties assigned.
- Work closely with Regional Managers and Regional Vice Presidents related to the financial needs of the properties.
- Review and approve weekly accounts payable requests for properties assigned.
- Work closely with accounts payable accountants, accounting managers, and property managers.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Strong computer skills required and willingness to learn industry standards.
- Knowledge of Microsoft products a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in accounting preferred or 2 years professional experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must possess a valid drivers license and insurance.
