Job Summary
This position requires a leader to assist in managing a Woerner Landscape Source, Inc. store in Panama City Beach, Florida. Woerner Landscape Source is a one-stop supply center for everything from premium turfgrass, decorative stones, and pavers to retaining walls, bagged and bulk mulch, boulders and soils. The assistant store manager will assist the store manager to continuously improve the store to meet goals and expectations. In addition, the assistant store manager will assist in maintaining an environment that provides the best possible customer service experience.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Provide superior customer service
- Schedule and order sod for customer deliveries
- Schedule customer delivery routes
- Replenish low inventory levels by working with vendors to ensure best prices, quality and quick shipments
- Ensure end of day tasks are completed
- Monitor and balance registers
- Coach fellow employees
- Have open and effective communication between corporate entities
- Maintain a safe workplace environment
Requirements/Qualifications
- Two years knowledge and experience in business, supervision and management
- Working knowledge of landscape and horticultural service industry and products
- Excellent organizational management skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred ICPI certification
