We are currently seeking an experienced and driven Vice President, M&A (Investment Banking) to join our growing team. This is a remote role with quarterly in-person offsites.
As a VP, you will play a key leadership role in executing transactions, overseeing financial analysis, and driving strategic advisory efforts for clients. You will manage the end-to-end deal process, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and negotiation support. Additionally, you will contribute to business development efforts, preparing pitch materials and market analyses to identify and pursue new opportunities.
Beyond transaction execution, you will also help develop and mentor junior team members, providing guidance on financial analysis, deal processes, and industry insights to strengthen the team's overall capabilities.

Responsibilities:
- Develop deep sector expertise within the Transportation & Logistics industry, staying ahead of market trends, competitive landscapes, and M&A activity.
- Lead transaction execution across M&A, capital raising, and strategic advisory, ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams, clients, and external advisors.
- Drive the due diligence process, evaluate strategic alternatives, and oversee financial modeling and valuation analyses to support client decision-making.
- Act as a primary point of contact for clients, cultivating and maintaining relationships with business owners, C-suite executives, and financial sponsors.
- Play a pivotal role in business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new opportunities through industry networking, proactive outreach, and relationship management.
- Develop and deliver client presentations, pitch materials, offering memoranda, and board-level reports with strategic insights and financial analysis.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and hands-on training to Associates and Analysts, fostering professional development, technical expertise, and industry knowledge.
- Contribute to the firm’s thought leadership by representing Wofford Advisors at industry conferences, events, and investor forums.
- Work closely with Managing Directors and Partners to refine strategic initiatives, enhance deal processes, and ensure excellence in client service delivery.
Qualifications:
- MBA, Master’s degree in Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 7 years of investment banking experience, ideally within the Transportation & Logistics, Industrials, or related sectors.
- FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses
- Proven transaction execution experience across M&A and capital raising, including financial modeling, due diligence, and structuring.
- Demonstrated ability to lead deal teams, manage client relationships, and drive business development.
- Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and strategic analysis.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to senior executives and investors.
- Deep understanding of market dynamics, industry trends, and regulatory considerations impacting the transportation and logistics sector.
