What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Patent Paralegal position at Wolf, Greenfield & Sacks P.C.?
SUMMARY:
The Patent Paralegal (Intake) assists attorneys across various practice groups with intake of new patent files. The Paralegal will also be responsible for additional prosecution related projects including but not limited to foreign filing letters, title perfection, IDS preparation and filing. The Patent Paralegal closely manages the deadlines associated with patent prosecution across foreign and U.S. jurisdictions for intake and works collaboratively and effectively with attorneys, clients, and other staff to collect necessary materials and triage for entry into our systems. The Patent Paralegal also works with attorneys, team members and other staff on additional patent prosecution work and other special projects as needed. The billable goal for this position is 1000 hours.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of three to six (3-6) years of US and foreign patent prosecution.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, problem-solving, organizational skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
- Knowledge of legal terminology, rules, regulations, and procedures specific to practice area.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills and can work effectively with individuals at different levels of an organization.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of matters and other firm business information.
- Highly flexible and can respond calmly, efficiently, and effectively in stressful situations.
- Punctual and reliable and able to meet set deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to adhere to established work schedule, but with flexibility required to respond to workload demands including overtime requests when needed.

The expected salary range for this position is $88,300-$104,300 annually. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. Any offer of employment is subject to the successful completion of a background check (and reference check).
