POSITION SUMMARY
The Retail Banking Trainer is responsible for developing and delivering training programs for the retail banking team, ensuring staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide exceptional service and comply with bank policies and regulations. This role focuses on creating structured training plans, documenting procedures, and fostering continuous learning within the retail team. The trainer will collaborate with leadership to identify training needs, develop content, and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

This position will primarily work from Greenville, but will travel to other locations as needed.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Training Program Development
- Create and implement a comprehensive training program for retail banking staff, including new hire onboarding and ongoing skill development.
- Document retail processes, procedures, and best practices in user-friendly training materials.
- Develop and maintain a library of training resources, including guides, checklists, and online content.
Training Delivery
- Facilitate engaging training sessions for retail banking staff, focusing on customer service, product knowledge, compliance, and operational processes.
- Coordinate and schedule training sessions, workshops, and refreshers for team members.
- Provide hands-on, individualized coaching for new hires and underperforming employees.
Evaluation & Improvement
- Assess training needs by gathering feedback from retail management and staff.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as needed.
- Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory updates, integrating them into training as applicable.
Collaboration
- Partner with the retail banking management team to align training initiatives with departmental goals.
- Serve as a resource for retail team members, providing guidance and clarification on procedures and policies.
- Assist in designing and implementing cross-training opportunities to enhance team versatility.
Other duties
- Consistently perform job duties with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Travels to other bank locations as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
