Pay Rate

Pay rate starts at $24-26/hr. (based on experience) plus overtime. Position is paid bi-weekly as W2 employment.

DATES OF EMPLOYMENT: Position is seasonal starting in May and running through August. Start and end dates are flexible dependent on show requirements.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Working with Draper, create and alter garments for 3 Productions during the Wolf Trap Opera summer season.
• Assist Draper in providing direction and support to stitchers as appropriate.
  
  

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of Costume History and Construction.
• Ability to create patterns from renderings for all types of costumes with little supervision.
• Minimum of three years working in a professional or educational environment.
• Experience with period garments of all genders.
• Opera and/or Theatre experience.
• Sensitivity and commitment to the mission of Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts.
