What are the responsibilities and job description for the School Nurse position at Wolfeboro Camp School?
At our academic summer program, School Nurses help maintain a healthy, productive and safe
boarding school community in which students can realize their full potential. The nurses work on
a rotating basis to ensure complete health and safety coverage throughout the summer session.
School Nurses report to the Director of Health Services.
Qualifications:
- Hold a current LPN or RN license in the state of New Hampshire
- Contribute to the Health Services team as a strong problem-solver, effective communicator,
- Proficient in documenting/utilizing healthcare management software
- Previous experience working in a middle school or high school is preferred
Employment Dates and Shifts:
- Shifts available from June 25 - July 30, 2025
- Afternoon Shifts: 3 PM -10 PM
- Overnight-On-Call Shifts: 10 PM – 7 AM
Responsibilities:
- Follow current standing orders (abdominal pain, etc.) and WCS Health Center protocols
- Triage ill and injured students, administer scheduled and OTC medications
- As health and safety situations arise, coordinate care of students with School Counselor,
- Communicate by email and/or phone with parents/guardians when necessary
Compensation:
- $35/hour for the hours of 7 AM – 3 PM
- $40/hour for the hours of 3 PM – 7 AM
- Should you be required to be on campus during the on-call shift, you will be paid the $100 on-
call shift rate plus $40 per hour while on campus (with a minimum of two hours to be paid).
