Are you a dynamic and driven professional with a passion for orchestrating unforgettable events? Join our team as a Catering Sales Manager at a prestigious Private Members Club, where you'll play a pivotal role in coordinating and overseeing both internal and external catering events, all under the renowned Wolfgang Puck Catering brand.
As the Catering Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for menu development, costing, and marketing functions within the catering department. You'll ensure the seamless execution of events, from preparation and transportation to setup, operation, and clean-up, while implementing effective labor and food cost controls.

As the Catering Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for menu development, costing, and marketing functions within the catering department. You'll ensure the seamless execution of events, from preparation and transportation to setup, operation, and clean-up, while implementing effective labor and food cost controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hire, train, and develop managers, and actively contribute to the development of service techniques, menu presentation, policies, and procedures.
- Create operating statements, reports, and operational budgets, and oversee the collection of receivables.
- Plan and direct catering activities, book events, and manage functions.
- Develop proposals, contracts, and banquet event orders.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, financial targets, and forecasts.
- Maintain a local client database and build strong relationships with vendors.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation procedures, including HACCP standards.
- Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Proven track record of meeting sales goals.
- Strong knowledge of current food industry trends and fine dining service.
- Minimum of two years of experience in the hospitality industry, including one year in catering sales.
- Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills.
- Ability to assess client requirements and ensure client satisfaction.
- Proficiency in writing menu proposals in consultation with chefs.
- Ability to supervise food preparation, service, and clean-up.
- Knowledge of A/V equipment and the ability to set up and break down for events.
- Superior quantitative, oral, and written communication skills, along with problem-solving and strategizing abilities.
- Excellent leadership and organizational skills, with flexibility and adaptability to constant changes and attention to detail.
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proactive mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Commitment to the highest standards of personal integrity and ethical behavior.
- Exceptional client relations and customer service abilities.
