We are seeking a full-time experienced Parts Manager to join our team in Exton, PA. A successful candidate will accomplish objectives using proper purchasing procedures, inventory control, staff utilization, security, pricing, merchandising, displaying, and advertising.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintains a balanced inventory consistent with service department and wholesale accounts requirements.
- Establishes individual parts inventory levels for maximum turnover.
- Monitors and adjusts inventory to minimize obsolescence.
- Ensures all parts are properly tagged for factory credit recovery.
- Supervises stock order procedures.
- Analyzes sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals.
- Develops and administers an aggressive wholesale parts program for profit production.
- Ensures high-quality service level for internal dealership customers.
- Works with the service manager to ensure timely parts turnaround for internal jobs.
- Analyzes departmental operations and storage layout for maximum effectiveness.
- Provides technical assistance to parts department employees.
- DIRECTS shipping and receiving efforts for timely processing.
- Ensures proper accounting of dealership purchases before payment.
- Assists in past-due account collection.
- Enforces safety requirements including forklift training and operation, SDS sheet processing, and OSHA Right-to-Know.
- Complies with federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts sales.
- Develops sales promotions.
