Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a balanced inventory consistent with the requirements of the service department and wholesale accounts.
- Establish individual parts inventory levels and balances them for maximum turnover.
- Monitor and adjust inventory to minimize obsolescence.
- Ensure all parts are properly tagged so the dealership recovers full credit from the factory.
You'll supervise stock order procedures, analyze sales, expenses, and inventory monthly to maintain profit goals, and develop an aggressive wholesale parts program to produce profit. Additionally, you'll ensure timely turnaround of parts needed for internal jobs, revise departmental operations and storage layout as needed, and provide technical assistance to parts department employees.
