Stand-Up & Sit-Down Associate for Production Team

This position works as part of a team having responsibility for pulling orders for the production department. Will be trained in assembling an entire product or component of a product. Assemblers can perform all tasks conducted by the team in the assembly process and rotate through all or most processes, rather than being assigned a specific task on a permanent basis. Assemblers are responsible for all builds (from basic to more complicated builds) through quality checks and tests and measures. Assemblers are also responsible for sending and prepping product for next stage.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must have high School Diploma or Equivalency (Diploma or GED)
• Must have Sit-Down & Stand-Up Forklift experience
• Ability to read, communicate and understand English and Spanish
• Must have great attitude with a positive outlook and good work ethic
• Production and processing experience
• Knowledge of basic hand tools used for assembly, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic assemblies and raw goods, including, reading diagrams, applications and programming. Knowledge of tool usage, and principles involved in production.
• Ability to read, communicate and understand English and Spanish
• Has a safety 1st mindset and must be organized
• Ability to problem solve
• Detail oriented and has an eye to spot deficiencies
• Team player, accountable, reliable and understands continuous improvement initiatives.
• Must be able to continuously perform the essential functions of the job for an 8-hour workday; with the exception of designated meal and rest periods
• Must have knowledge of basic arithmetic and the application
• Must have Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office software experience
• Must be able to troubleshoot
• Must be able to listen to others for direction to achieve success
• Must be flexible as can be assigned to different areas within the production team
• Must be able to adapt to different weather as warehouse gets extremely hot or cold and depends on the weather in the state you are working. The company provides your own individual fan and heater to assist with diverse weather patterns.
• Must possess the ability to adapt to change quickly

JOB DUTIES

• Stand-Up Sit-Down Forklift driving pulling orders for the Production team.
• Receive your work assignments from the Production Coordinator or Manager.
• Perform quality checks on products and parts.
• Must follow 5S in your work area. 5S is methodology for organizing a workspace to improve efficiency and production which will be explained to you
• Review work orders and diagrams ensure work is performed according to specifications.
• Understand and demonstrate product knowledge.
• Meet goals and objectives set by Management/Leadership.
• Maintain and comply with department processes, procedures, work instructions and company policies.
• Stay informed about company product changes, systems, procedures, work instructions and forms.
• Achieve individual and Team KPI’s, collect and analyze data, to promote change and build efficiency within the department.
• Identify opportunities to update or improve inbound procedures/work instructions and make recommendations to the Production Manager.
• Walk/Monitor areas for tidiness, equipment in the proper location, essentials stocked up before shift begins and is 5s clean 15 minutes before associate goes home.
• Develop a culture of Continuous Improvement, Lean, 5S implementation & sustainability efforts and assist in other aspects of improving efficiency, asset utilization & throughout the department.
• Have full knowledge of all areas and other relative SOP practices.
• Performs quality inspections to ensure item and quantity accuracy for each work order.
• Fosters an atmosphere of high employee morale through an active, fair, and consistent application of policies and procedures.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends when operational requirements necessitate.
• Flexibility to perform job duties for different sections as assigned
• Performs other related duties as needed.

PAY &SCHEDULE

• Monday to Friday 8:00 am - 4:30 pm or 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
• Overtime and weekends when necessary
• $18.00 Per Hour
