Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic team. As a Server, you will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring that every guest feels valued and satisfied during their visit.
Responsibilities
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and make recommendations to enhance the dining experience.
- Take accurate food and drink orders using the Aloha POS system or OpenTable.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring accuracy in orders.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their meal and address any concerns or requests promptly.
- Handle cash register transactions accurately, including processing payments and providing change.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Adhere to food safety standards and regulations to ensure a safe dining environment.
- Upsell menu items when appropriate to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with Aloha POS or OpenTable systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices is essential.
- Excellent guest relations skills with the ability to create a positive atmosphere for diners.
- Proven sales skills with an aptitude for upselling menu items effectively.
- Basic math skills for handling cash register transactions accurately.
- Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
