What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plating Chemical Lab Technician position at Wolkerstorfer Company, Inc.?
The Position: (equal parts)
- Chemical analysis on the plating lines
- Inventory of lab chemicals
- Routine process verification testing
- Record keeping
- Tank maintenance
[Please note that this is not a R & D position. This is an active position that helps regulate and maintain process lines in a metal finishing company.]
You:
- Have a 2 or 4 year degree in lab sciences, have a strong chemistry background, or equivalent experience in the metal finishing industry. (One of the two is required.)
- Have great attention to detail
- Possess analytical skills; Detect trends in test results
- Have the ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
- Be comfortable using Excel and Word
- Work independently as well as part of a team.
- Be able to communicate effectively
- Be able to lift up to 75# intermittently
- Enjoy a diverse day where your time is split between a desk and being active

Other Details:
- 1st shift. Monday - Thursday 6:00 - 4:30, Fridays 6:00 - 10:00 (Long weekends! Done before lunch!)
- Full time.
- Paid weekly.
- Pay based on experience.
