Position Summary:
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. This executive role ranges from corporate strategic planning to leading accounting team members in the financial transaction records and period closings. The CFO plays a key role in shaping Wolverine Coil Spring’s direction, ensuring financial health, and supporting growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute financial strategies to support company objectives and long-term growth
• Develop budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and financial reports as monthly periods close.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, providing actionable insights to leadership
• Manage capital structure, cash flow analysis, debt management, and investment strategies
• Participate in capital budget, 401(k), and insurance plan reviews and guidance meetings
• Lead and coach accounting staff members
• Preparation and presentation of financial documents and analysis during WCS quarterly Board of Director’s meetings
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, banks, and investors
• Implement and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls
• Support all business development activities including part cost-breakdown analysis and price-margin reviews.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field
• Exceptionally strong in cost accounting skills , leadership, and organizational skills
• CPA, CMA, or similar financial certification is a plus
• 10 years of financial leadership experience, ideally in manufacturing
• Excellent knowledge of spreadsheets, data analysis, and forecasting methods
