What are the responsibilities and job description for the Continuous Miner Production Coordinator position at Wolverine Fuels?
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Plans, directs and monitors all activity for continuous miner operations including setup, production, and recovery. Coordinates support of Continuous Miner production and outby crews with appropriate mine management.
Responsible for attaining optimum level of operating and cost efficiency for C.M. production activities.
Recommends and implements improvements in equipment and production methods.
Conducts meetings and organizes training to improve overall continuous miner performance.
Sets goals, priorities, and standards through communication and cooperation with all departments.
Responsible for recommending Continuous Miner equipment selection/modifications. Will play an active role in contracts, equipment specifications, warranties and price negotiations.
Approves C.M. material and supply orders to an authorized approval level.
Implements all safety policies and procedures related to an injury free work environment.
Develops, implements, and monitors cost reduction plans and productivity improvements.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Demonstrated successful underground coal mining supervisory experience
- Ten years underground mining experience with a diverse background in, CM operations and general mine work
- Must have a comprehensive understanding of continuous mining methods
- Good planning and organizational Skills
- Strong leadership ability
- Current Utah Mine Foreman Certification
- MSHA Electrical Certification preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent communications (oral and written) skills
- Computer skills in Microsoft Excel and Word are required
