- System Administration:
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network devices.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Manage software updates, patches, and hardware upgrades.

Network Management:
- Set up and manage local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and VPNs.
- Ensure network security by implementing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus solutions.
- Optimize network performance and resolve connectivity issues.

Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance to employees, including resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Conduct training sessions and create user documentation for new systems and tools.

Data Management:
- Ensure data backups, disaster recovery plans, and data integrity protocols are implemented and maintained.
- Support database management systems and monitor storage capacity.

IT Security:
- Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks by implementing robust security measures.
- Regularly review and update IT policies and procedures to align with best practices.

Project Management:
- Collaborate with other departments to assess technology needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Plan and execute IT projects within established timelines and budgets.
- Participate/attend and complete all required contractual, licensing and agency training successfully.
- Function as a mandated reporter, as required by Michigan Child Protection Law.
- Facilitate/attend all required meetings.
- Other duties, as assigned.
- Capable of working independently with a flexible schedule.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience in IT systems, network administration, or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux, macOS), network protocols, and cloud platforms
- Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Relevant certifications as needed
