What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shift Coordinator position at WOLVERINE HUMAN SERVICES?
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain control and security of the facility, while applying Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) and Cognitive Behavioral Theory interventions to various client circumstances.
Support all Youth Care Workers on their shifts, by providing direction, guidance, and implementation of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention and Cognitive Behavioral Theory interventions with clients.
Implement daily schedules and assignments with client units.
Dispense medication to clients and maintain records, as indicated by their physicians.
Provide coverage of shifts for Youth Care Workers in the event of an emergency.
Review site and unit logs, medical waivers, incident reports, and other internal communications.
Communicate significant information to treatment team members and Residential Care Coordinator/ Operations Care Coordinator through written and verbal communication.
Attend team meetings to review and update individual client and group objectives, as scheduled by site management.
Review and approve Incident Reports before submitting to Program Manager
Demonstrate proficiency in WHS technology platforms and applications.
Participate in WHS internal and external professional development.
Function as a mandated reporter, as required by Michigan Child Protection Law.
Attend all required meetings.
Other duties, as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
Level 1 Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) endorsement for basic core skills.
Completion of Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI) seminar provided by the agency, with ability to apply and perform CPI techniques.
American Red Cross CPR and First Aid Certification.
Valid Michigan driver and chauffeur license or ability to obtain chauffeur license.
