Under the direction of the Group Leader, the Machine Operator uses production and measurement equipment to produce products that meet Safety, Quality, Delivery, Yield and Cost goals. Each operator is responsible for and has the necessary authority to ensure quality, including stopping production to correct quality nonconformance.

Specific Functions

• Uses appropriate safety measures.
• Runs equipment as trained. This includes making adjustments to equipment where necessary. If the required adjustments are beyond the scope of the operator’s training or ability, then the operator has the authority to contact maintenance or supervisory personnel to correct the problem.
• Uses appropriate measurement equipment and techniques as trained.
• Has the responsibility and authority to initiate corrective actions and reject non-conforming material.
• Records and maintains documentation and data as required.
• Follows applicable work instructions.
• Uses good housekeeping skills to maintain the work area.
• Follows directions and instructions of all supervisory personnel.
• Maintains good relations with co-workers, management and visitors.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Maintains R-134A compliance per work instructions and training.

Skills & Education

High School Diploma/GED

Strong Communication Skills Are Required.

Compliance with safety policies is required.

Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.

Attend all safety and production trainings.

Must be reliable and punctual with a clean attendance record.

Essential Physical Functions

Ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures.

Ability to perform physical tasks that are repetitive.

Ability to do work requiring standing with frequent stooping, bending, reaching overhead and sufficient manual dexterity to perform all aspects of the job.

Ability to lift, move parts and equipment up to 70 pounds.

Able to work 12 hour shifts primarily standing.
