Pipe Layer/Laborer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pipelayer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in laying pipelines for various utilities, especially water. This role requires a strong understanding of construction site operations and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure successful project completion.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of pipelines and utility systems.
• Dig trenches using hand tools or machinery such as excavators, and Skidsteers to prepare for pipeline installation.
• Install, repair, and maintain various types of pipelines according to specifications.
• Collaborate with other construction workers to ensure safety and efficiency on the job site.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations while working on construction sites.
• Conduct routine inspections of installed pipelines to ensure they are plumb and functioning correctly.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Pipelayer or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong skills in blueprint reading and utility locating techniques.
• Proficient in operating heavy machinery, including backhoes and bulldozers.
• Familiarity with pipeline installation processes for water utilities.
• Ability to dig trenches accurately while adhering to safety standards.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on communication and collaboration on construction sites.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks over extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
