Trading Systems C++ Engineer

At Wolverine Trading we’re looking for a Trading Systems C Engineer to work closely with quants and traders to implement and improve sophisticated trading strategies on our established, high-performance infrastructure. Your focus will be on the translation and implementation of trading ideas into an existing system architecture and collaborating on the refinement of existing trading strategies.

• Collaborate with quants and traders to translate trading ideas into fast, scalable, and reliable software
• Leverage and improve high-performance frameworks for risk management, execution logic, and trade reporting
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues to ensure strategies perform reliably in live conditions
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams to align on goals and execution, with an emphasis on effectiveness

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years of professional C experience with a focus on high-performance applications
• Strong grasp of data structures, algorithms, and modern C practices (C 17/20)
• Experience and ability in multi-threaded programming and performance tuning
• Ability to analyze experimental results and optimize system performance
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Most importantly: a drive to make things better

The total compensation range for this role is approximately  $140,000-$200,000 contingent on experience. Wolverine Trading's total compensation model includes base salary and an annual discretionary bonus.
