Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman to assist with the upkeep and repair of residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will have broad knowledge in general maintenance, be able to troubleshoot issues efficiently, and complete tasks with high-quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and facilities.
- Handle basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Install fixtures, appliances, and hardware as needed.
- Inspect property for potential safety hazards and recommend or complete necessary repairs.
- Assemble furniture and equipment.
- Maintain records of repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workspaces and tools.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a handyman or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of basic repair techniques and use of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and dexterity.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in trades (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Working Conditions:
- May be required to work indoors or outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Occasionally requires lifting heavy objects or standing for long periods.
