About the Job
Womack, Lewis, & Smith is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to work with the Job Superintendent in managing the daily field activities and various subcontractors associated with the assigned project. The assistant superintendent will be on the job site daily and will work to ensure that all standards of quality and workmanship are met. This role will involve reading and interpreting the plans and specifications so that all work will be installed without any deviation from these documents. The assistant superintendent will also work with the Superintendent to ensure that all safety procedures are being followed.
Qualifications
Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent
Associates degree or higher preferred
Proficiency using a computer and application software such as Microsoft Office Suite, email, and the ability and desire to learn new project management software
Ability to read plans and specs
Effective and strong communication skills; both written and verbal
A strong desire to ensure complete client satisfaction
A valid driver's license is required
Should be a motivated self starter and require minimal supervision
A strong desire to develop supervisory skills while working and training under a Superintendent
The physical capacity to handle the demands of working on a construction job site
A minimum of 6 months of related experience
Must pass a drug test
