Woman’s is more than just a hospital. We offer a variety of outpatient health clinics, specialty practices and services for the community. Woman’s Breast Specialist Clinic is looking for a full-time Clinic Coordinator.

Requirements:

  • Must have a high school education or equivalent.
  • Some college or CHAA/CHAM certifications preferred
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in a physician's office
  • Experience with scheduling, insurance verification, prior authorizations, estimator, transcribing referrals and orders
  • Requires excellent customer service skills
  • Must have a strong computer, phone and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask is required as well as a knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities of the Clinic Coordinator include, but are not limited to:

  • Composes, types, and proofreads correspondence accurately (reports, letters, memos, etc.) for physicians and departmental management personnel by stated deadlines.
  • Schedules appointments accurately; obtains clinical history, data, and orders; enters and edits patient demographics and insurance data into computer system accurately. Enters hospital charges correctly and in a timely manner for outreach clinic charges and monthly surgical and delivery charges.
  • Assists in ordering supplies from materials management for office and nourishments for patients.
  • Compiles statistical reports on a monthly basis as directed by Practice Manager.
  • Charge entry and oversees the process for accurately abstracting patient information for billing and data repository purposes as needed. Problem-solves and informs management as needed pertaining to patient accounts.
  • Serves as a team leader for clinic assistants and works closely with the clinical lead to ensure the efficiency of the clinic runs smoothly from front to back. Completes Chart Audits with clinic assistants.
  • Serves as a super user of the EMR system for all things registrations. Orients new employees and new physicians on computer modules. Provides ongoing assessment of performance and any gaps. Provides additional training as needed.
  • Coordinates daily coverage of staff including vacation requests and manages the clinics calendar.
  • Answers phone calls promptly and courteously. Identifies self and departments. Responds to customer requests, forwards and manages calls as needed.
  • Cross-trains and/or floats to other areas as directed by management.
  • Performs other department and clinic specific duties and projects as assigned.
  • May be floated to other clinics when needed.

Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm

Most Fridays, 7:30am -2pm

Pay

$15.24 - $21.53

$150 Employee Referral Bonus
