What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN - Operating Room - Days - Full time or Part-time position at Woman's Hospital?

Requirements:
- Graduation from an accredited school of registered nursing is required
- Current licensure by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing is required
- Experience and Certification in the area preferred, but not required
Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:
- Performs assessment of the individual patient and procedure.
- Identify patient needs and determine priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.
- Provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.
- Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes.
- Maintains a safe environment by implementing technical and aseptic practice.
- Directs and assists in care and handling of state of the art supplies, equipment and instruments.
- Document care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priority.
- Provide patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice standards, ANA Standards & the LA Nurse Practice Act.
- Perform other duties assigned by Department management according to policies and procedures and the mission of Woman's Hospital.
Hours
Part-time; Hourly (24 hours)
Combination of 8 hour (6:30am-3:00pm) and 12 hour (6:30am-7:00pm) shifts Monday through Friday
• Must cover at least 1 evening shift till 7p weekly
Full-time; Hourly (40 hours)
Combination of 8 hour (6:30am-3:00pm) and 12 hour (6:30am-7:00pm) shifts Monday through Friday
• Must cover at least 2 evening shifts till 7p weekly
Weekend/Night Call Required Monthly (must live within 30 minutes of the hospital)
Pay
$27.72 - $44.35 base pay plus any applicable shift differentials
