What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinic Nurse Practitioner - Woman's Breast Specialists position at Womans Hospital?
Job Summary:
Responsible for collaborating with physicians and staff nurses in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of medical care within a breast specialty clinic. Works closely with clinic staff, Medical Director, physicians, referring agencies and physicians, genetic counselor, and imaging staff.
Job Requirements:
Requires licensure and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Nurse Practitioner) licensure. Prescriptive authority in the state of Louisiana is required or application process to obtain must be submitted within 5 business days of hire.
Previous nurse practitioner experience in a clinic setting is preferred. Three years of nurse practitioner experience in women’s health (Add) is preferred.
Job Knowledge:
Knows and follows approved protocols and formulas established for the independent practice of women’s health.
