What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Coordinator - Managed Care - Full-Time position at Womans Hospital?
The Contract Coordinator negotiates the terms and reimbursement schedules of contracts between employed physicians (and physicians who assign their professional fees to Woman's Hospital) and managed care organizations for commercial, Medicare and Medicaid products. Implements hospital, ancillary and physician contracts. Maintains all data related to managed care contracts, employer groups and hospital. Acts as a liaison between managed care organizations and hospital ancillary departments for purposes of establishing fees and credentialing providers. Assists director in reviewing hospital contracts proposed by MCOs and amending current hospital contracts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Experience working with physicians, hospitals, and managed care organizations.
- Five years of experience in healthcare or managed care industry.
- Two years of experience with contract negotiations.
Responsibilities:
- Assists director in reviewing hospital contracts, preparing responses, and amending hospital contracts for MCO commercial, Medicare and Medicaid products.
- Negotiates reimbursement schedules for employed physicians and ancillary services for MCO commercial, Medicare and Medicaid products.
- Updates physician fee schedules and distributes to professional billing service and clinics. Updates ancillary fee schedules for ancillary departments.
- Prepares and distributes Hospital Based Physician contract status with MCOs to Medical Staff on a quarterly basis. Communicates status of contracts to hospital and medical staff.
- Maintains accurate contracting references for the department. Initiates and oversees the implementation of the contract terms. Disseminates contract information to hospital staff. Ensures contracts are properly entered into MCO systems.
- Works on special projects requested by the director, Vice Presidents, and other department heads.
- Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Salary/Exempt
$57,000 – $83,000; based off work experience
