Lead Storeroom Clerk - Supply Chain Management

The Supply Chain Management Lead Storeroom Clerk is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospital's storeroom, ensuring efficient management of medical supplies, equipment, and inventory. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to direct activities and lead others by example, and the ability to manage inventory workflows, while ensuring timely and accurate distribution of supplies throughout Woman’s hospital. The Lead Storeroom Clerk will work closely with other hospital departments to meet supply needs and maintain compliance with hospital and Supply Chain Management policies and procedures. This role is responsible for the materials flow, processes, and documentation for the organization. Processes the receiving of freight and generates reports utilizing ERP (Meditech) and Warehouse central receiving (SCLogic) software programs. Ships outbound and tracks and receives inbound freight for the Hospital using primarily Fed Ex and UPS software and other freight lines on occasion. Monitors, generates, receives, and fills supply distribution requisitions using appropriate inventory management procedures. Distributes inbound freight and inventory items to appropriate department designations. Collects, stores, and aids in the destruction of confidential paper. Collects, bales, and loads cardboard for recycling. Moves furniture and supplies to off-site department locations. Ensures the productivity and efficiency of all Warehouse/Storeroom activities.

Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent is required
• At least 2 years of experience working in a warehouse setting, with healthcare specific experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds.
• Must have a valid Louisiana driver’s license (Class D license preferred) and maintain an excellent driving record.
• Experience with shipping and receiving and/or inventory management systems is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that delegated assignments of all storeroom team members are being completed on a daily basis.
• Responsible for periodically reporting to the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Sourcing and Logistics any issues throughout the day.
• Prints inventory restock requisitions and checks for autoprint inventory requisitions on the scheduled day, making sure to evaluate backorders before closing restock.
• Performs stock transfers and department issues in Meditech as required.
• Fills requisitions making sure that it is in the appropriate status.
• Fills supply distribution orders accurately and cycle counts on all items issued.
• Notifies warehouse manager immediately of any stock discrepancies. Notes discrepancy on the customer’s copy of documentation.
• Delivers all supplies and equipment to correct departments with a copy of picklist or receiving document.
• Makes sure all supplies sent are packaged, stacked, and secured for safe transport and delivery to their destination.
• Performs special project duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Supply Chain Sourcing and Logistics completely and in accordance with stated deadlines.

Pay Range:

$15.24 - $23.62

Schedule:

Full-Time; Non-Exempt position

Monday - Friday

Required to work some weekend and evening shifts.
