What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Staff Development Coordinator - Educational Services position at Womans Hospital?
The Nursing Staff Development Coordinator plans, develops and implements hospital-wide RN/MD education programming, initiatives and special projects. Works collaboratively with clinical educators and nursing leadership to develop comprehensive, evidence-based educational programs.
Requirements:
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and current licensure with the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
- Master's degree in Nursing or a related field and certification in a related field are preferred.
- Requires a minimum of three years prior experience as an educator or trainer, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates hospital-wide RN/MD education initiatives and special projects such as regulatory education, new service line roll-outs, and equipment changes.
- Manages budget and costs of offerings for areas of responsibility.
- Regulatory Readiness education lead including: Performs file audits of names submitted from tracer activities; and participates in any consultant visits as invited including prepping files, auditing and preparing for surveyors and presenting during visits.
- Designs and leads Skills Fair.
- Coordinates clinical rotations with nursing schools and graduate and undergraduate clinical experiences.
- Coordinates and presents New Nurse Orientation in collaboration with NEO facilitator and clinical educators.
- Serves as Continuing Education Nurse Planner.
- Serves as resource for Magnet Document Preparation.
- Serves as resource for clinical competency assessment and validation and assists in competency assessment and validation design.
- Collaborates with Nursing Administration on compliance and achievement of requirements for MCIP, LaPQC and other initiatives including designation of Birth Ready Plus.

$69,763.20 - $115,107.20
