The Philanthropy Operations Specialist manages the hospital’s philanthropy infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, operational efficiency, and strategic prospect management to support fundraising success. This position is responsible for the donor database (CRM), prospect research, gift processing, data analytics, internal funding requests, and administrative support for the Chief Philanthropy Officer (CPO). The Philanthropy Operations Specialist ensures fundraising operations are efficient, compliant, and data-driven.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business administration, data analytics, or a related field.
- Significant job-related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Master’s degree or CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in development operations, donor database management, or fundraising analytics.
- Experience using Foundant or similar internal funding management platforms is preferred.
- Prior experience in healthcare philanthropy or hospital fundraising operations and strong understanding of moves management and donor pipeline development is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Data & Technology Expertise: Proficiency in donor databases, analytics, and reporting tools.
- Strategic Prospect Research: Ability to identify and qualify major donor prospects.
- Process Optimization: Skilled in streamlining gift processing, data entry, and fundraising operations.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Works closely with fundraisers, finance, and hospital leadership.
- Attention to Detail: Ensures accuracy and compliance in gift processing and donor acknowledgments

Pay Range:
Salaried/Exempt Position
$52,416 - $83,000
