With comprehensive intervention and prevention services, WHW works in cooperation with local government, schools, and area restaurants. In 2021, WHW delivered 26,083 services to 7,051 survivors and trained 4,982 community members. WHW provides confidential support through a variety of programs including a 24-hour crisis hotline, on-scene police response, hospital accompaniment, court advocacy, and educational prevention programs.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a DVERT Supervisor, located in Cincinnati, OH. The DVERT Supervisor will oversee the Domestic Violence Emergency Response Team, coordinating with law enforcement and managing the team's on-scene response to 911 calls related to domestic violence. Day-to-day tasks include supervising crisis intervention services, providing direct support to survivors, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with community partners. The DVERT Supervisor will also facilitate training programs for law enforcement and community organizations.
Qualifications
- Experience in crisis intervention, direct support services, and case management
- Knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, legal advocacy, and survivor support
- Strong skills in team coordination, supervision, and community collaboration
- Excellent communication, record-keeping, and organizational abilities
- Ability to work independently and respond effectively to emergency situations
- Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field preferred
- Previous experience working with law enforcement or in a social services setting is a plus
