JOB DESCRIPTION :

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines :

  • Manages the full lifecycle of reporting development : assess, design, develop and maintain all relevant dashboards / reports for budget planning, forecasting, accrual management and operational reporting processes. Identifies primary use cases and improvements required to current dashboards and reports. [Technical Capabilities]
  • Conducts data analysis, develops and executes requisite changes to implement approved requests, ensuring that new requirements comply with IT data policy and / or reporting needs. Crafts high level design of data solutions. Consults with relevant stakeholders to analyze dashboard usage and capabilities, identifies associated risks, resolves problems and recommends and / or executes resolutions. Tests changes prior to deployment into production environment as appropriate. [Technical Capabilities]
  • Develops and maintains relationships with FP&A team in order to enable smoother transition of information between the two groups [Relationships]
  • Collaborates with management, technical staff and subject matter advisors to understand business issues, troubleshoot problems and develop and recommend cost-effective data solutions for data anomalies. [Relationships]
  • Ensures data integrity by developing and executing necessary processes and controls around the flow of data. Performs data cleansing to ensure quality of data output. [Technical Capabilities]
  • Utilizes technology to analyze data and / or metrics from applicable systems to review data processes, identify issues, determine actions to resolve or escalate problems that require data, system or process improvements. [Technical Capabilities]
  • Conducts training and coaching of users on features and functions of dashboard and other related tools / reports. [Whole Leadership]
  • Leads data related research and root cause analysis activities, provides correction specifications, and escalates issues as appropriate. [Business Acumen]
  • Works with technical and non-technical stakeholders on various analyses and research and participates in and / or may lead special projects as appropriate. [Relationships]
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies. [Technical Capabilities / Relationships]
  • Collaborates and works well with diverse teams and embraces the views of others to develop better solutions. [Relationships]
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationship

Typically AVP or above

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Specialized expertise implementing and maintaining dashboards, developing and executing data mapping and transformation processes and requirements within and between applications and data sources across IT; rationalizing and analyzing large amounts of data across IT disciplines (Infrastructure, Security, App / Dev, RTB / CTB initiatives). Creates and implements testing methods and procedures as appropriate. [Technical Capabilities]
  • Deep analytical, integrative and problem-solving skills with proven ability to manipulate and analyze high-volume, high-dimensionality data from varied sources. [Technical Capabilities]
  • Advanced computing skills including, but not limited to : PowerBI, Tableau, alteryx as well as MS Office Suite, with a minimum of five years of experience blending and analyzing multiple data sets, building reporting pipelines and dashboards and utilizing analysis and reporting / visualization tools preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and presentation skills to work effectively among all levels of internal / external stakeholders. [Relationships]

  • Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology related disciplines - Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.
  • Typically,five to seven (5-7) years of work experience, preferably in operational analysis, financial management functions, data / statistical analysis, data architecture, data modeling and business intelligence.
  • Advanced computing skills including, but not limited to : PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx as well as MS Office Suite, with a minimum of five years of experience blending and analyzing multiple data sets, building reporting pipelines and dashboards and utilizing analysis and reporting / visualization tools preferred.
  • Looker or Thoughtspot experience a plus
  • Experience interacting with FP&A function for budgeting, forecasting processes
  • Planview experience is a plus.
  • Applicable certifications preferred.
