Women in Manufacturing Education Foundation's (WiMEF) mission is to build a skilled, diverse, and resilient manufacturing workforce where women achieve, lead, and succeed. To realize this vision, we work with manufacturing employers and strategic partners to provide career-building resources and training on essential workforce skills.
A mission-driven, 501c3 organization, WiMEF was established in 2016 as the partner organization to Women in Manufacturing (WiM), the only national trade association dedicated to supporting, promoting, and inspiring women working in manufacturing. WiM's membership includes more than 500 corporate members, 31,000 individual members, and 34 chapters throughout the U.S.
Director of Development
WiMEF is hiring a Director of Development to lead fundraising and donor relations. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Development will fuel our mission and expand our impact by inspiring engagement among our dedicated donors, partners, and stakeholders.
The Director of Development will join a dynamic and high-performing team at a vibrant and collaborative workplace. The ideal candidate is a skilled communicator and relationship-builder with experience in prospecting, solicitation, and stewardship of corporate and individual donors.
Responsibilities
- Formation and execution of a successful development plan to ensure annual fundraising goals are met
- Steward WiMEF's individual donor relationships and strategies including annual giving via WiMEF's Leadership Circle, Giving Tuesday campaign, and chapter engagement
- Facilitate and encourage corporate giving to WiMEF's Innovation Fund
- Identify and cultivate new donor relationships from WiMEF's network of individual, corporate, and foundation sources
- Ensure gifts are acknowledged in a timely manner
- Develop and maintain databases for prospecting, donor management, gift processing, and gift acknowledgements
- Provide timely data and reports to the board of directors

Details
This is a full-time, non-exempt, salaried position with a generous benefits package including annual bonus, vacation and floating holidays, and room for professional growth.
The WiMEF office is located in Cleveland, Ohio. Staff have the option to work remotely with the expectation of being in the office as needed for various meetings and staff activities. Ideally, the candidate will live in proximity to Northeast Ohio as travel expense to the office may not be paid for or reimbursed by WiMEF. Additional flexibility on remote work options may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
