Job Summary:
The Women in the Window Communications Coordinator is an integral part of the fast-paced, global WiW team working to fulfill our mission to equip and empower women in the 10/40 window nations of Africa, Asia and the Middle East, replacing poverty and injustice with dignity and purpose in Christ. She provides tools to communicate the mission and vision, engaging global and local service opportunities as she mobilizes volunteers as a key part of our communications strategy.
Scope
The Communications Coordinator has a working knowledge of WiW culture, vision, mission, and strategy; helping fulfill our strategic plan locally, nationally, and globally through creative communication and volunteer involvement.

Specific Responsibilities:
Communication – digital and print
§ Create and post social media and all available communication outlets and monitor the progress of the same.
§ Utilize our website and MailChimp email program to create and send weekly e-newsletters and other emails including prayer updates and announcements, etc. also monitor progress.
§ Prepare newsletters and promotional materials; review estimated costs of printed materials and mailings.
§ Utilize “Essentials” and other appropriate WiW curricula to connect women locally & globally with WiW.
§ Closely collaborates with the Executive Director and Administrative Assistant to upfate the website, blog, Facebook page, other social media, and monitor the progress of the same.
Other responsibilities as needed
The Communications Coordinator is a part-time position (20 hours weekly) and benefits per the WiW handbook.
Reports to: Executive Director & provides oversight for volunteers as appropriate. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Communications Coordinator to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is tocreate and coordinate communication and marketing campaigns, strong organizational abilities, and a customer-centric approach.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and events
- Manage incoming and outgoing communications via phone systems and email
- Assist with proofreading documents and correspondence
- Utilize computerized systems for data entry and record keeping
- Provide exceptional customer support to internal and external stakeholders
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries and information dissemination
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations
Qualifications:
- Strong Christian with understanding of God's Word and work across the globe.
- Background in communications and marketing online and in print
- Excellent people skills and a team-builder.
- Works well with Executive Director to fulfill stated mission and vision
