Job Summary: The Oncology Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for processing patients for daily appointments. Ensuring the proper medical information and records are obtained. The incumbent gathers and provides information to patients, coordinates patient care and scheduling within the Electronic Medical Record and other systems. Assists with financial processing and provides additional clerical support to the department.
Specifications: High school diploma required, associate degree preferred with 2 or more years experience in a health care setting. Must have knowledge of third-party payers, medical terminology, and strong computer skills. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, including phone etiquette required. Must be proficient in the English language.
