What are the responsibilities and job description for the Research Assistant TEMP 30D position at Women & Infants Hospital?
Job Summary: The research assistant performs duties related to research projects directed by MD's, PhD's and other professional staff members. Responsible for data collection, accurate recording, and other related duties in assisting study team.
Research Project Summary: This pilot study will help to inform current practices about a novel process to decrease postoperative bleeding and dysphoria in patients undergoing gender affirming hysterectomy. This will help determine whether a simple intraoperative medication administration can improve the postoperative experience for patients and should help contribute data to guide future research in a patient population that has been under studied. Subjects will be recruited during their preoperative visit in the office at 90 Plain Street. Potential candidates will be identified via chart review.
Specifications: Nursing diploma or Bachelor of Science degree required. Clinical or technical research experience, including data collection and entry into a computer system desired. Proficiency in the English language.
