What are the responsibilities and job description for the Voluntary Staff Billing Coordinator 40D position at Women & Infants Hospital?
Job Summary: The Voluntary Staff Billing Coordinator performs and coordinates various operational functions for divisions within the Department. The incumbent generates billings, and maintains records of settlements, billing status and the resolution of delinquent billing issues. Initiates communication with physicians, Hospital personnel and various third party payers to facilitate flow of information.
Specifications: High school graduate or equivalent required with at least one year experience in computerized physician billing or other health care billing/collection procedures. Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as well as demonstrated ability to use initiative and independent judgment. Must be able to operate standard office equipment; knowledge of statistical and other computer applications preferred.
