Weekday Shift: Tues-Fri, Eligible for Excellent Benefit Program
- Tuesday 7 a.m. -6 p.m.
- Wednesday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
- Thursday 7 a.m. - 6 p.m.
- Friday 7 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The WCA, one of the region’s most recognized and well regarded non-profit organizations, is seeking an energetic, mission driven talented candidate to join our team as a Client Advocate. This role serves an integral part of our agency by providing support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault that are residents of the 24/7 shelter and supports the on-call domestic violence and sexual assault hotline. Works closely with shelter leadership and other team members to assist clients with accessing safe shelter, other WCA services, community resources, and other needs per established criteria. Ensures safe, secure operations of emergency shelter while on shift and assisting clients with safety planning, crisis intervention, de-escalation, problem-solving techniques and boundaries. Completes records and client files in accordance with established guidelines. This position presents a strong sense of service, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to maintain strict confidentiality and the understanding and aptitude for working with sensitive topics associated with diverse demographic and marginalized populations served and:
- Present a professional demeanor, inclusive of all clients and communicates in a clear and concise manner with residents, co-workers, and leaders.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment under pressure and maintain professional boundaries with clients at all times.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Be detail oriented and highly organized, as well as be able to multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Good written communication skills to complete records and documentation.
- Ability to travel/drive to different locations for work purposes. Possess current driver’s license and proof of auto liability coverage to meet minimum required by the State of Idaho.
