With 100 locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women’s Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.
We are searching for a motivated and experienced healthcare Compliance Coordinator / Auditor to guarantee that our business processes and transactions follow all relevant regulatory, payer and accreditation guidelines as well as adhering to all internal clinical quality guidelines. Responsibilities will include updating our current enterprise-wide compliance program, including creating, reviewing and updating compliance policies, auditing these policies and responding to policy violations with appropriate action plans. The ideal candidate will be professional, highly analytical and will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. The most successful candidate for this role will have healthcare experience, with women’s healthcare experience especially valued. You should also have experience with healthcare-related risk compliance.
- Undertake a thorough review of our current compliance program, creating updates and additional policies as needed.
- Create and help to oversee our multi-disciplinary Compliance Committee.
- Create detailed reports advising company leaders on our adherence to laws and regulations across the enterprise.
- Develop and manage effective action plans in response to audit discoveries and compliance violations.
- Regularly audit company procedures, practices and documents to identify possible risks or opportunities for improvement within the compliance program.
- Assess varied company operations to determine compliance risk, including but not limited to clinical operations, laboratory, revenue cycle management, human resources and IT.
- Ensure all employees are educated on the latest regulations and processes through our annual compliance education program with updates throughout the year as needed.
- Resolve employee concerns about regulatory compliance issues, such as fraud, waste and abuse and other issues that are reported through the Compliance Hotline.
- Demonstrate and embody the Women’s Care mission and core values.
- Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of insurance, compliance, regulatory affairs, or business management.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar healthcare-related role.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance processes.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to speak to people confidently and respectfully at all levels of leadership across the organization.
- Proficiency with Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, creation of tracker documents.
- Knowledge of HealthStream system is a plus.
- Occasional travel across Florida, Arizona and Kentucky to visit and audit office locations.
- Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
