We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and dedicated Medical Scribe to support our healthcare providers and enhance the efficiency of patient care. About the Role:
This is a 17-24hour per week opportunity working on-site at our 10 Coburg Rd location in Eugene, Oregon. We are proud to offer attractive pay.
What will you do:
- Under the direction of the physician/provider, transcribes patient orders, including laboratory tests, imaging tests, medications, etc.
- May accompany the physician/provider into the patient examination area to transcribe a history and physical examination as given by the patient and physician/provider.
- Completes the patient’s chart by summarizing consultation and or examination, listing all proper diagnoses as well as any follow up instructions. Monitors chart progress to ensure workup is complete and the practitioner can make timely decisions regarding the patient’s care.
- Navigates the EMR to look up pertinent past medical records. Retrieves, organizes, prioritizes, stores, and maintains transmittable information utilizing electronic technology.
- Pre-loads new patient charts and uploads images into the EHR.
Requirements
What do you need to bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s Degree (complete or in progress) in science or healthcare related field preferred.
