We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Triage Nurse to join our healthcare team at Women’s Care. As a Triage Nurse, you will be the first point of contact for patients seeking medical care, assessing their condition, providing nursing care advice, and ensuring they receive timely and appropriate care. Your expertise will help ensure that patients are directed to the proper level of care based on the urgency of their medical needs.
About the Role:
This is a full-time opportunity working at multiple Women’s Care locations in Eugene and Springfield, Oregon. The position has an expectation of 32 to 40hrs per week with no nights, weekends, or holidays and one day remote potential! We are proud to offer attractive pay and a great benefits package.
What will you do:
- Answer inbound patient calls in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner. Assess and provide guidance to patients on a variety of women’s health questions. Use practice protocols and procedures, clinical judgment, knowledge, and experience to direct conversation with the patient.
- Conduct in-person nursing assessments; collect and process specimens; screen and follow up on test results; and administer injections.
- Submit electronically/faxes new prescriptions and refill prescriptions according to physician orders. Record all prescription/refill information in the medical record.
- Perform Fetal Non-Stress Tests according to physician’s orders.
- Receive, organize, prioritize, and store Personal Health Information (PHI) utilizing the electronic health record (EHR).
- Recognize and respond to emergencies, obtaining assistance from and/or referring to physicians when appropriate.
Requirements
What do you need to bring to the role:
- Current, valid LPN or RN Oregon state nursing license required. Two years OB/GYN experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA required.
