Job Title: Part-Time Receptionist
Location: Women’s Center of Greater Lansing – 1712 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing, MI
Schedule: Mondays and Wednesdays, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with one Wednesday per month until 7:00 PM
Additional Hours: Minimum of 16 hours annually outside regular schedule to assist with outreach and fundraising events
Compensation: $16.00/hour
Reports To: Executive Director

Position Summary:
The Part-Time Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and community partners. This role ensures a welcoming and organized front office experience. The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and passionate about supporting the mission of the Women’s Center.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist visitors, clients, and volunteers in a professional and compassionate manner
- Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
- Manage appointment scheduling and maintain the front desk calendar
- Keep the front desk and waiting area clean and organized
- Assist with data entry, filing, and general administrative tasks
- Provide support for outreach and fundraising events (minimum of 16 hours annually outside normal schedule)
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion
- Monitor office supplies and report needs to the Executive Director
Qualifications:
- Prior receptionist or administrative experience preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Comfortable using office technology including phones, computers, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Monday.com, and our electronic health records system.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Working Conditions:
This position is in-person at our Lansing office.
