We strive to meet the immediate and long-term needs of the diverse community of battered women and their children with programs that promote safety, compassion, connection, advocacy, and prevention. WRC provides compassionate services to survivors of domestic violence and their children. We help families improve their safety and form connections, which serve as an essential support system. Our advocacy for survivors of domestic violence works to change the culture that allows abuse to thrive. And advocacy, coupled with our powerful work with children, facilitates prevention and ending domestic violence altogether.
Position Summary
The Executive Assistant supports the Executive Director, Board of Directors and the administrative team in the operation of the organization. As a vital link between organization leadership and staff members, the Executive Assistant is a skilled communicator, multitasker, and project manager who facilitates agency growth through comprehensive administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Executive Support
· Work collaboratively with the Executive Director to manage their calendar, schedule meetings, and make reservations as necessary.
· Maintain the Executive Director’s contact and email distribution lists.
· Manage email communications as directed to ensure timely responses from organization leadership and move ongoing tasks forward.
· Support the processing and execution of WRC funding contracts by gathering signatures from the necessary parties.
· Draft well-written internal and external correspondence and proofread, edit, or perform research as needed.
· Develop and maintain a working knowledge of current agency stakeholders such as staff members of partnering agencies, state and local elected officials, long-time donors, etc.
Board Liaison
· Schedule and provide logistical support for meetings of the Board of Directors and its
committees.
· Generate agendas and other materials for meetings of the Board of Directors and its committees.
· Take and generate minutes for Board Meetings.
· Maintain Board distribution lists and contact information
Administrative Support
· Complete renewal processes for organization credentials such as business licenses, vehicle registrations, charitable organization permits, etc. as needed.
· Support financial operations of the Women’s Resource Center in accordance with current financial policies and procedures. Supportive functions include, but are not limited to the following:
o Monetary Donations
o Disbursements
o Financial reporting and audits
o Staff travel expenses
o Staff reimbursement
Skills and Requirements
· A desire to contribute to the work of ending domestic violence
· A minimum of three years of administrative experience is required.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Expertise in Microsoft Office is necessary.
· Ability to self-start, work independently, and meet deadlines
· Experience handling sensitive documents and confidential information
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
