Position Summary and Primary Duties
The Keyholder is responsible for providing excellent customer and donor care while maintaining a safe and clean sales floor and coordinates with store manager and assistant manager in opening and closing the store as scheduled while continuing to carry out the primary duty as assigned.
Essential Duties
- Promote friendly and helpful customer service and donor care.
- Responsible for maintaining store operations when manager and assistant manager are off duty.
- Operate the cash register, point of sale system, answer the telephone, process client gift certificates, process refunds, get change for registers, open and close register.
- Stock shelves and racks with processed merchandise.
- Always keep the store neat and clean.
- Colorize and organize stock on shelves as trained.
- Rotate stock according to the color rotation system.
- Assist donors as they arrive.
- Unload and sort materials in the donation area.
- Maintain accurate records of donations and issue completed donation receipts to all donors.
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise and equipment as needed.
- Assist with the security and the safety of store property.
- Demonstrate professionalism and presents a friendly, cooperative attitude towards customers and co-workers.
- Ability to multi-task, make quick decisions and work in a team oriented, fast paced environment.
- Must be punctual and have dependable attendance.
- Must conduct work in a safe manner; maintain good housekeeping standards, have all aisles and pathways to fire extinguishers, and exits clear from clutter.
