Wonder Quest is a new learning center dedicated to providing personalized and engaging educational experiences for students in grades 1th-8th. Our mission is to help students develop a love for learning, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative educator to join our team.
Job Summary:
We are looking for passionate and creative art teachers to instruct K-9 students in portrait drawing and general art. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and a strong background in art education.
Responsibilities:
- Teach fundamental and advanced art techniques, including portrait drawing, painting, and sculpture.
- Introduce students to various artistic styles, materials, and mediums.
- Encourage creativity while providing structured lessons.
- Assist students in developing their artistic skills and confidence.
- Prepare and provide necessary art materials and resources.
- Adapt lessons to suit different skill levels and learning styles.
- Maintain a fun and engaging classroom environment.
- Organize and display student artwork in showcases or exhibitions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Art Education, or a related field (preferred).
- Experience teaching art to children (K-9) in a school or extracurricular setting.
- Strong knowledge of portrait drawing techniques and various art styles.
- Ability to work with different art materials (pencils, paints, clay, etc.).
- Patience and enthusiasm for working with young learners.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in digital art and design is a plus.
- Ability to integrate art history and cultural themes into lessons.
- Comfortable with both in-person and online teaching methods.
Pay:
- $30-40 (based on experience)
