Wonder Quest is a new learning center dedicated to providing personalized and engaging educational experiences for students in grades 1th-8th. Our mission is to help students develop a love for learning, and we’re looking for an enthusiastic and creative educator to join our team.
Job Description:
The Summer Camp Instructor is responsible for leading, supervising, and engaging campers in a variety of educational and recreational activities. This role requires enthusiasm, leadership, and the ability to create a fun and safe learning environment for students.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and actively engage with campers during activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Lead and facilitate structured activities, including outdoor exploration, engineering projects, creative writing, and team-building games.
- Assist in planning and organizing daily schedules and special events.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and energetic camp atmosphere.
- Support campers in completing projects, challenges, and competitions.
- Manage group behavior, enforce camp rules, and resolve conflicts when necessary.
- Maintain camp equipment, ensuring proper setup and cleanup for activities.
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and fellow staff members.
- Provide first aid assistance as needed and report incidents to the Camp Director.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children in an educational, camp, or recreational setting preferred.
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage and motivate children in an engaging and supportive manner.
- Passion for outdoor education, STEM, and creative learning activities.
- First aid and CPR certification (preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check.
