Job description
As a Kitchen Team Member, you’ll be responsible for assisting the kitchen team with their overall operations. You may be required to work multiple different areas of the kitchen during a shift.
Key Responsibilities include:
Back of House/Dishpit
- Prepping ingredients or items needed for current or future meals according to the kitchen prep list
- Maintaining a clean working station
- Assisting with the unloading, storage, and organization of the walk in fridges, dry storage, and outside storage room
- Sweeping and mopping floors, as required
- Emptying trash cans regularly, replacing garbage bags, taking recyclable items out to the proper areas
- Going on trash runs as needed
- Assist in dishpit operations, washing dishes, putting dishes away, opening and closing dish pit area and completing check-off lists
- Assist with the fulfillment (preparation and delivery) of ordered snack services, water service, or room service orders.
- Go on laundry runs to take dirty linens and pick up any clean linen/rags
Front of House
- Deliver the company experience for guests
- Communicate with the Shift Lead/Chef regarding customer concerns
- Ensure proper setup of tables, inspecting silverware, glassware and other items prior to use
- Check food prior to serving, ensure presentation and taste is in accordance with company standards
- Assist other FOH staff in meeting meal time deadlines and other services
- Maintain beverage station clean and organized
- Maintain kitchen break room cleanliness and organization
- Help ensure that the buffet line(s), coffee/beverage stations set up are on time and properly organized to company standards and sanitation procedures.
- Assist in monitoring and refilling buffet line during meal services
- Understand dietary restrictions to accommodate customer concerns
- Assist in opening and/or closing the kitchen
Job Requirements:
- Must have a high school education or equivalency
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to take direction
- Food Handlers Certification preferred
- Ability to bend, stand, and stoop for long periods of time
- Requires the ability to multitask, and follow & execute instructions with efficiency and proficiency in completion of a variety of assigned projects and tasks
- Must be self-motivated person with a high level of drive and initiative
- Must be professional and work well with others (internal and external customers) at all levels
- Experience in the Customer Service environment
- Must have a good attitude that promotes a team environment
- Willing to work weekends and holidays
- Ability to organize time and talents to meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.50 - $17.50 per hour
