Job Summary:
The stables wrangler is responsible for assisting with daily stables responsibilities as well as guest and camper trail rides. Daily operational responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the stalls and barn
- General upkeep of the stables and its facilities
- Grooming and feeding the horses and other farm animals
- Raking and shoveling manure
- Assist with helping keep the horses in shape
- Assist with preparing the horses for trail rides or other events
- Assist with trail rides and horsemanship classes during ODE sessions
- Assist with trail rides and horsemanship classes for campers during River Way Ranch Camp
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
- Requires the ability to multitask, and follow & execute instructions with efficiency and proficiency in completion of a variety of assigned projects and tasks
- Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be an EXPERIENCED horse rider
- Must have knowledge of horse behavior and anatomy
- Be able to lift the appropriate equipment and weight (the equivalent to a hay bale)
- Must be professional and work well with others (internal and external customers) at all levels.
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in the Customer Service environment
- Ability to organize time and talents to meet goals and deadlines
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
- Share the mission and vision of hospitality and promote the mission of Western Camps, Inc. at all times
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Sanger, CA 93657: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.50 per hour
