Wonder Valley Outdoor Education is hiring a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) or Registered Nurse (RN) for our Spring 2025 Outdoor Education Season. This is a short-term contract, ideal for someone looking for a straightforward, low-intensity nursing role in a quiet, outdoor setting.
Position Details:
- Compensation: up to $400/day (if working 4 hours), $100/day (if less than 4 hours)
- Schedule: Very flexible; contracts can be as short as 3 days 2 nights.
- Location: On-site at our outdoor education camp (housing & meals provided)
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic medical care and first aid to students and staff
- Manage student medications and health records
- Respond to minor injuries and assist in emergencies as needed
- Communicate with the Outdoor Education Director and school representatives regarding student health
Requirements:
- Active California LVN or RN license
- Comfortable working in an outdoor camp setting with children
- Ability to live on-site during scheduled shifts
- Background check and drug test required
