What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Wonderland Tire Company?
Position Summary:
Maintain and repair building and equipment by performing the following duties:
Primary Responsibilities:
- Complete work orders, maintenance records on machines, and other necessary paperwork
- Maintain and repair all machines in retread plant and other shop locations as needed
- Working knowledge of electrical schematics necessary
- Rebuilding plant machinery as necessary
- Fabricate parts, tools, and equipment needed for shops to perform job duties
- Perform building maintenance for all stores
- Maintain inventory of parts and order parts as needed
- Organize work area to keep neat and clean
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Math aptitude – add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, decimals or fractions
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in electrical, welding and hydraulics
Physical Demands and Work environment:
- Work in a production environment where environment can fluctuate in temperature based on season
- Continuously stand and walk on concrete floors; squatting, wrenching, carry and lift up to 100lbs occasionally
- Visual acuity is required
