Maintenance Technician

WonderWorks (Syracuse, NY) is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team! Maintenance Technicians concentrate on the safety of our guests and employees by maintaining exhibits and other aspects of the building. Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the upkeep of the building and exhibits, monitoring the safety of equipment, and maintaining company values.

Responsibilities:

• Maintenance work including but not limited to painting, pressure washing, and general cleaning
• Conduct building walkthroughs to identify and quickly correct safety concerns, security issues, and cosmetic needs with facilities
• Maintain all building exhibits via monthly and weekly preventative maintenance as needed
• Respond to radio calls to repair concerns as needed, often in crowded conditions
• Assist with modifications to the facility, as well as installing new exhibits and graphics
• Train new and existing team members on all major exhibits
• Ensure the safety and security of all exhibits as needed
• Help others as needed to maintain an exciting and dazzling experience for our team and guests!
• Perform other duties/complete projects as assigned

Qualifications:

· At least 2 years of experience working in maintenance, construction, IT, or another applicable field

· Previous amusement experience preferred

· Ability to stand, walk, climb, kneel, use hands and/or fingers, and lift and/or move up to 100 pounds amid a moderate to loud work environment

· Ability to work on tasks at varying heights

· Observational skills to ensure safe practices and maintenance of equipment

· Be able to work any shift including nights, weekends, holidays, and weather conditions
